In special work scenarios such as paint spraying rooms, due to the volatilization of large amounts of flammable and explosive gases (such as benzene, toluene, xylene, etc.) from materials such as paint and diluents, the concentration of flammable substances in the air can easily reach the explosive limit, making it a typical explosion-proof environment.
The customer requires the safe operation of the track explosion-proof car in this environment, with the core being to meet the corresponding explosion-proof level through systematic explosion-proof design (such as Ex d Ⅱ CT4 in China, ATEX certification in the European Union, etc., and the specific level needs to be determined according to the hazardous gas group and temperature group of the paint booth).
Therefore, during the equipment design phase, we conducted explosion-proof selection and modification for key components:
Power system: Explosion proof motor for the rail cart is selected, whose shell can withstand internal explosion pressure and prevent flame leakage. The cable interface is equipped with explosion-proof gland to prevent electric sparks from igniting external combustible gases;
Control system: explosion-proof buttons, explosion-proof travel switches, explosion-proof contactors, etc. are used, and the components of the control circuit are all certified for explosion-proof to ensure that no electrical sparks or high temperatures are generated during operation;
Mechanical structure: For parts that may generate friction or impact (such as the contact point between the track and the wheel, the meshing point of the transmission gear), materials such as copper alloy that do not generate sparks are used, or mechanical sparks are avoided by installing buffering devices.
