The customer's project factory for producing special vehicles is expanding production and relocating to a new production base. The new base is planned as an automated production workshop. The transportation of raw materials and various components during the production of special vehicles poses a significant challenge. Due to the special environment and the nature of the transported materials, they are restricted from using more automated and flexible trackless electric transport carts or AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles). Instead, they can only use rail transport trolleys, which need to operate 24/7 or very frequently.

In response to the customer's needs and application scenario, Remarkable provided a multi-functional automated longitudinal and transverse rail changer transport cart. This automated rail transfer cart can navigate and operate autonomously on intersecting longitudinal and transverse rails, automatically switching rail paths. It is capable of lifting loads up to 2 meters in height (customizable) and is equipped with a central dispatch management system and wireless operating system to complete unmanned, automated workflows as required.

This solution breaks the limitation of traditional rail trolleys, which can only move in straight lines, enabling movement in both longitudinal and transverse directions and changing direction like a trackless transporter. At the same time, it achieves the automation level of AGVs. We refer to such rail transfer carts as RGVs (Rail-Guided Vehicles).
