The longitudinal and transverse rail cars support bidirectional movement in both directions (along the main track direction) and transverse (perpendicular to the main track direction), and with the "cross track" design, they can achieve flexible transfer of workpieces between different track lines without relying on external lifting equipment for auxiliary steering.
Track switching is achieved through dual motor wheel sets: the rail car is equipped with longitudinal and transverse driving motors, corresponding to different directions of wheel sets. The motor working state is switched by the control system to achieve precise docking between the wheel set and the corresponding track, ensuring a stable and reliable switching process.
Wheel set design: Two sets of wheel sets are installed at the bottom of the rail car, one set is adapted to the longitudinal track (responsible for forward and backward movement), and the other set is adapted to the transverse track (responsible for left and right movement). The two sets of wheel sets can switch working states through mechanical structures or control systems (such as lifting/lowering one set of wheel sets to make contact or detach from the track).
Cross track layout: The track system adopts a cross design, where the longitudinal main track and the transverse auxiliary track are connected at the intersection point, ensuring that the wheel set can accurately embed into the target track when the track car switches directions.
Control logic: Through PLC or remote control system, the rail car is instructed to complete the process of "longitudinal travel → stable stop at intersections → switching wheel sets → lateral travel" according to transportation requirements. The entire process can be automated, reducing manual intervention.
