Core Functions & System Requirements of AGV Molten Aluminum Transfer Cart

Precise Positioning & Docking

The AGV is equipped with high-precision positioning capability with positioning accuracy ≤ ±5mm, ensuring precise docking with launders and other equipment.

Adopts visual recognition / LiDAR functions to automatically identify ladle parking positions and furnace mouth positions.

Intelligent Safety Control

Multiple anti-collision protection: Front, rear and side LiDAR plus mechanical anti-collision strips; the Self propelled transfer cart stops automatically when encountering obstacles.

Thermal protection: External heat insulation devices are installed on the vehicle body to isolate thermal radiation from molten aluminum.

Attitude monitoring: Real-time monitoring of tilting angle, load weight and vehicle level attitude; all data uploaded to the central control system.

Outdoor Environmental Adaptability

Protection grade: Overall vehicle protection grade IP65; key electrical components (motors, controllers) meet outdoor dustproof, waterproof and anti-corrosion requirements.

Weather resistance: Operating temperature range -30℃ to 60℃, suitable for high ultraviolet radiation areas.

Communication & Scheduling

Supports 5G/Wi-Fi dual communication, realizing seamless connection with factory MES/WMS systems.

Supports multi-vehicle scheduling with functions including traffic control, automatic obstacle avoidance and remote monitoring.

Structural Composition & Technical Requirements of AGV Molten Aluminum Transfer cart Tilting Mechanism

 

Base & Frame

The main frame is welded with heavy-duty I-beams, channel steels and thick steel plates, with overall stress relief by annealing.

Welding complies with Class II weld standards, free of cracks, pores and incomplete penetration.

Surface treatment: Sandblasting rust removal + epoxy zinc-rich primer + high-temperature resistant topcoat, featuring radiation resistance and corrosion resistance.

Tilting Frame & Ladle Support

The tilting frame is perfectly matched with the outline of the vacuum ladle; wear-resistant anti-slip backing plates are added on the supporting surface.

The main tilting shaft adopts forged 45# steel round bar with quenching and tempering treatment, featuring high strength and no deformation.

Heavy-duty self-aligning roller bearings are used for bearing housings with dust-proof and high-temperature resistant seals.

No jitter, impact or abnormal noise during the tilting operation of the shaft.

Hydraulic Clamping Mechanism

Double-side hydraulic clamping ensures the ladle keeps stable without sliding, side tilting or falling off during the whole tilting process.

Equipped with mechanical self-locking device to maintain clamping state even if hydraulic pressure fails.

With clamping in-place signal feedback; tilting action is prohibited if not fully clamped.

Hydraulic System

Independent integrated hydraulic pump station, including fuel tank, motor, oil pump, overflow valve, check valve, balance valve, hydraulic lock, etc.

Mandatorily equipped with double-way hydraulic lock to prevent cylinder drifting, falling and uncontrolled tilting.

Fitted with balance valve to realize uniform and controllable descending & tilting speed and avoid over-speed.

The system is integrated with overflow pressure regulation, filtration, oil temperature protection and oil level protection functions.

Hydraulic hoses adopt high-pressure double-layer steel wire rubber hoses with pressure resistance ≥31.5MPa, protected by fire-resistant sleeves.

Performance Requirements

Smooth tilting: No impact, splashing or spilling during molten aluminum pouring.

Angle accuracy: Positioning error ≤ ±1°, able to stop at any arbitrary angle.

No leakage: No oil seepage or leakage after 72 hours of continuous hydraulic system operation.

Structural reliability: No deformation or weld cracking after more than 1000 full-load tilting cycles.

Easy operation: Single-person full operation available with simple and intuitive control.

Safety compliance: Meets safety specifications of the metallurgical industry to eliminate potential safety hazards.

The overall equipment features solid structure, durability and easy maintenance. It consists of heating system, lifting system, frame system, temperature control system, electrical control system, safety protection system and positioning docking system.

Lifting System

Electric screw lifting mechanism with stable operation, no jitter or stagnation.

Equipped with dual protection of upper and lower mechanical limit + electrical limit.

Lifting motor adopts brake motor with power-off self-locking for high safety and reliability.
